Collectibles Index exists because the collectibles market deserves the same quality of measurement as any other asset market.

Collectible card prices move billions of dollars a year, but the market's benchmarks have mostly been vibes: screenshots, cherry-picked sales, and "up only" threads. We build the alternative — transparent, rules-based price indexes computed daily from market data under a fixed published methodology, with every rebalance, removal, and data gap disclosed as it happens. If an index here says the market is down, it's down.

The discipline is the point. Constituents are selected mechanically by dollar turnover. Weights are capped. Baskets are frozen between quarterly rebalances. Levels are divisor-continuous through every basket change, so the series never jumps because membership changed. Nothing is smoothed, backfilled, or quietly revised.

The indexes are free and will stay free. The site is funded by disclosed affiliate links.
